Just got a nice email of acceptance from the LA Shorts Film Festival, who are going to screen “Jinx!” during the festival, which runs from September 5-16th in Los Angeles.
I’ll definitely be in attendance, so all you LA boys and girls, take a break from eating In ‘n’ Out Burger for a while. You’ll have it for every meal while I’m in town.
More news to follow.

Seriously, I know David Bowie was famous for reinventing himself - but who knew how far he really took it. This by far the stupidest video I’ve seen all month!!!
Remember when everyone got so excited for like 5 seconds a few years ago, when VHS or Beta first appeared and they did that album that was like total disco instrumental redux? And then they realized there was more of a market for Strokes clones and went that route instead?
Well they were just a prelude for ESCORT, a new disco redux group who are banging out gorgeous tracks that sound like lost classics found in deep in Larry Levan’s basement vault.
I know this clip is gonna be all over the web in a few days time, but I love it too much not to repost it here. It’s the video for Escort’s new single, “All through the Night.”
My favorite part is when the baby Grovers come in with the hand claps. What’s yours?
When I hear people tell me they’re going to L.A., I always recommend they check out the Pierce Brothers Westwood Cemetary where this little cutie is resting in peace.
For more info on the tragic circumstances surrounding the O’Rourke death, and the story of how O’Rourke was discovered, here’s the E! special report.
I can’t believe her dog of a mother couldn’t put on a bit of makeup for the interview. Gross!
I was walking down Houston Street on Monday with my friend Bill. I noticed four women sitting in a row on a park bench, watching their children play. The women were Muslim, three were wearing black burquas, and one was wearing a bright purple one.
So I go to Bill, “You know the one in purple is thinking ‘I’m the Samantha.”
