Mary’s Incredible Dream

I just ordered this little gem from Eddie Brandt’s today, along with a few other goodies.

This is from the 1970’s TV movie “Mary’s Incredible Dream.” This is how Pimpadelic Wonderland describes it:

MARY’S INCREDIBLE DREAM 1976 [C+] The battle of Good vs Evil is represented by Manhattan Transfer and Ben Vereen in this high concept, Emmy nominated oddity from Mary Tyler Moore. Who knew she had it in her? At times reaches late seventies heights of disco-fied tackiness a la Xanadu and The Apple. This vanity project went one million over budget and spooked the networks from ever bankrolling anything like it ever again.

As my friend Billy Beyond said when I emailed him about it “A Million Over??? I need to see it!”

I think this may need to be the first screening at PRICE CHOMPERS BUSHWICK DISCOUNT UNIPLEX PAVILION, which is under new management and opening very soon.
